My name is Meredith and I’m an advocate for my passions and a yogi with a unique sense of humor.
My ability for developing solutions to challenges we face today is a result of my diverse portfolio of unique experiences.
I began my career working in the criminal justice system with those living with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Many would say that I had my life planned out; however, as the saying goes, “If you want to make God laugh, start making plans”. I began practicing yoga as a serious practitioner after years of suffering with severe chronic pain caused by Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Complex Trauma. Psychotherapeutic (Trauma Informed) yoga was part of my healing journey. This healing work was the beginning of my yoga journey and my second chance at life.
The physical aspect of yoga, combined with its foundational roots, philosophy, psychology and science has given me a new passion for life. Yoga has benefited my emotional and physical wellbeing in ways I never could’ve imagined. My chronic pain has become manageable which has gifted me a new quality of life. As a result, I became certified to teach yoga and obtained a specialty yoga teaching certification in psychotherapeutic (trauma informed) yoga in February 2022. I continued my yoga studies and earned a 500 Hour Viniyoga Teacher Certification in 2024. I‘m currently studying to become a Viniyoga Therapist at the American Viniyoga Institute, personally taught by Gary Kraftsow.
I currently teach Viniyoga at local senior centers, yoga studios as well as teaching private clients and small group sessions throughout the DFW metroplex. I am passionate about teaching those living with chronic illnesses, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, those with injuries, mental health and substance abuse disorders. As a result of the benefits that yoga has given me, I teach yoga in order to give back to others by applying yoga science in order to affect positive significant change.
